Happy new year to y´all! Maike had a fantastic Christmas time with her family at home in The Hague and just finished the M-Lab production „De geheime Tuin“.
2010 will bring the Stage Entertainment/Disney production Mary Poppins to the Fortis circus Theater in Scheveningen (The Hague) and Maike is very glad to play Winifred Banks. The rehearsals for this production will start in february, the premiere will be on April the 11th. Please click here for more Info.

News Autumn 2009

Fall has come, it got quite cold and windy here in The Netherlands, but luckily we have some truly exciting news.
Maike has finished recording her first Musical CD, a collection of her favourites. Arranged for big orchestra and with fantastic guests.
The whole production has been recorded mixed and edited by the man himself, Poul Pouwers and produced by Rein Gerlofs.
It will be released very vey soon, and we are all very proudly and happily looking forward to this event.

Maike also started rehearsing for the M Lab production of the new musical „De geheime tuin“ which can be seen in Amsterdam in the M-Lab theater in december.

News winter 2009

Happy new year to you all.

After a very busy time during the years Maike will now play her last Evita shows next weekend, on the 17th of January in Groningen. It´s now time to say THANK YOU to the entire Evita team and crew for supporting Maike so well and making her feel welcome and at home. And most of all, THANK YOU to all of the fans and friends who made the special effort to come and see Maike play this fantastic piece. Thank you also for all the postive feedback and kind words, it is much appreciated.

News Autumn 2008

Maike is currently playing Betty Schaefer in the Stage Entertainment production Sunset Boulevard. This is a tour production that will hit every major city in The Netherlands. She enjoys being on this team since many of her friends are in the cast and there is a great atmosphere in the entire team.

As published in the Belgian and Dutch press, Maike will play Eva Perron in Evita in Belgium for a few shows. Maikes premiere will be on the 17th of december. Please see this Link.

News Summer 2008

Maike is back from Italy where she enjoyed a great time rehearsing and performing Into the woods for the third time in her career. This time as the baker´s wife alongside her long term friend and colleague Carsten Lepper. The show was a great success and she hopes to be back at the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen sometime.
Maike will next be seen in the Stage Entertainment production of Sunset Boulevard. Rehearsals will start in August and the premiere of this dutch touring production will be on October tenth 2008. There will be more information on showtimes and venues soon.

News Spring 2008

-Maike´s and Michael´s son Luca was born on the 25th of February in Amsterdam. He was 4KG and 52cm.
The birth itself went very quickly, in fact everything went so fast, there was no time to go to a hospital as planned, instead the midwife helped Maike deliver Luca in Maike and Michael´s private living room. The parents are very proud and happy, Luca is doing great.

-The upcoming Into the woods dates have been changed on this website because the 10o clock shows turned out to be "Schulvorstellungen", shows for schoolchildren. Hence these are not included in the ticketsales. Check here.


News Winter 2008

-As many of you know, Maike is pregnant with her first baby, it is expected in february.
Maike:
"Another four weeks to go. The belly is getting really heavy and big but my husband and I are really looking forward to the birth of our first child.
We´ll keep you informed and of course share the first pics with you here."

-After a short baby break Maike will play the baker´s wife in Into the woods along with her friend and colleague Carsten Lepper
as the baker. This time it will be a Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen production in Bozen, Italy. Premiere will be on May 10th. Get your tickets here.

-In the summer Maike starts rehearsals for the Stage Entertainment production Sunset Boulevard, playing the role of Betty. This production will tour in the Netherlands.


News November 2007

-Maike will be doing three concerts in the Netherlands and Germany in december along with her good friend and colleague Wieneke Remmers. Wieneke also starred in Rembrandt and Into the Woods and was recently seen in the Dutch casting programm Looking for Evita in which she entertained the whole BeNeLux with her beautiful voice.

News July 2007

Maike will be playing the part of "Assepoester" in the legendary Sondheim musical "Into the woods" from
september the 8th until september the 29th in the new Amsterdam theater M-Lab.
Shows will be daily from tuesday to saturday in that time.

Maike is currently touring Germany with "The Best of Musicals" Gala tour featuing her as a solist along with seven other top performers, Thomas Borchert, Pia Douwes, Sabrina Weckerlin, Gino Emnes, Ana Milva Gomez, Patrick Stahnke and the RockNRoller Rob Fowler. See an amazing evening of musical theater hits and previews for upcoming shows.

News March 07:

Maike is preparing for her Germany tour this spring and doing some auditions. She also gave a workshop for the students at the Tilburg conservatory.
Besides all that she recorded a Maxi CD in February that will be released for the BOM spring tour. The CD features original songs and you can listen to some previews by clicking on the cover.

News November 06:

"Rembrandt the musical" will go to Rotterdam after finishing in Carré. The show will be in the Luxor theatre in the heart of Rotterdam until January the 7th 2007.
